Hello! I'm Bharathakumar S, an ardent innovator and researcher dedicated to transforming healthcare and biotechnology. My academic foundation is a B.Tech in Biotechnology, complemented by a series of pioneering projects that have significantly impacted my field.

My research journey commenced in my first year of B.Tech with the development of an assay at Aavin Industry, Madurai. This early venture laid the groundwork for my future projects. I advanced my research by creating a mosquito repellent fabric at the Indian Council of Medical Research - Vector Control Research Center, earning recognition at the Bannari Amman Institute and ANJAC UGC-ICMR conference.

In my third year, I developed an electrochemical biosensor for pathogenic bacterial identification at the Central Electrochemical Research Institute - CSIR, showcasing my ability to tackle vital health issues. I received a travel grant for an international conference at CSIR-CSMCRI Ahmadabad, broadening my scientific network.

Driven by entrepreneurial zeal, I founded CRUTCH India, an NGO focused on social innovation in healthcare. Additionally, I established EReKY Labs Private Limited to bring my innovative technologies to market. A notable achievement is developing the world's first non-invasive rapid test card for early detection of Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD).

I innovated in converting waste plastic into emulsion paints, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals, recognized by Youth CO-Lab and the United Nations. I also launched the Thirugai Food Division, creating 24 new healthy, low-cost food options for society.

As a Regional Mentor of Change with NITI Aayog's Atal Innovation Mission, I've inspired school students towards innovation, earning the title of a Gems Mentor of India and a best mentor award at AIM Delhi. I currently serve as the President of the All India Startup Entrepreneurship Association in Madurai and as the youngest CEO of JKKN Educational Institutions' Incubation Center in Madurai as of 2022.

My tenure as a BIRAC Innovation Fellow at Anna University involved developing a commercially viable urinary strip for renal disorder detection in at-risk individuals. I enhanced my skills in microbial techniques at CSIR IMTECH, Chandigarh, and worked as a Project Assistant II. Additionally, I trained at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Andhra Pradesh, in the development of Impedance Spectroscopy.

I am steadfast in my commitment to finding curable solutions for cancer and enhancing life quality. My focus remains on nurturing young talent and delivering innovative solutions that benefit not only India but humanity at large
